    • 900g apples (Pink Lady, Fuji, or Royal Gala)
    • 60g unsalted butter
    • 170g brown sugar
    • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • ¼ tsp salt
    • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Mix milk, egg, vanilla, and butter. Combine dry ingredients and merge with wet to form dough. Let rise until doubled.
  2. For the filling, cook apples with butter, sugar, cinnamon, cornstarch, and water until thickened. Cool to room temperature.
