- 1 cup cornstarch
- 1/3 cup all-purpose flour

- 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 teaspoons fresh garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons water + 1 tablespoon cornstarch for the sauce
- 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
- 1 cup green beans, chopped
- 2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
Instructions
- Prepare the wet and dry batters in separate bowls. Dip chicken pieces in the wet batter, then coat with the dry batter.
- Fry chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Drain on a wire rack.
- Sauté vegetables until soft. Set aside.
- For the sauce, combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, vinegar, sugar, red pepper flakes, sesame oil, and garlic in a pan. Simmer. Thicken with cornstarch and water.
- Toss fried chicken and vegetables in the sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds.
