- 24.8 ounces refrigerated cinnamon rolls (2 tubes, with icing)
- 21 ounces apple pie filling
- 5 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- ⅓ cup brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1 cup pecan halves (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Cut cinnamon rolls into quarters and arrange in the baking dish.
- Pour melted butter over cinnamon rolls.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, sprinkle over rolls.
- Spread apple pie filling evenly over the top. Add pecans if desired.
- Bake for 40 minutes, covering for the first 35 minutes, then uncover for the last 5 minutes until golden brown.
- Warm the icing from the cinnamon rolls and drizzle over the baked casserole. Serve warm.
Notes
Feel free to substitute apple pie filling with any other fruit filling. For a less sweet option, a squeeze of lemon juice can be added to the filling.
