An easy and delicious Sloppy Joe French Bread Pizza recipe that’s perfect for a quick meal or snack.

- 1 loaf French bread, halved lengthwise
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil for easy cleanup.
- Prepare the bread: Place the halved French bread on the prepared baking sheet, cut side up.
- Cook the beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it apart with a spatula as it cooks.
- Add vegetables: Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet with the ground beef and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
- Make the sauce: Stir in the ketchup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, yellow mustard, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened slightly.
- Assemble: Spread the sloppy joe mixture evenly over the halved French bread.
- Add cheese: Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the top of the sloppy joe mixture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley, if desired, before slicing and serving.
