Cookie Dough
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Pinch salt
- 1 cup miniature chocolate chips plus extra for garnish
Brownies and Coating
- 1 package fudge brownie mix prepared and cooled
- 1 package chocolate candy melts or chocolate almond bark for coating
Preparation Steps
In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth and fluffy.
Stir in the milk and vanilla until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing to form a soft cookie dough. Fold in the miniature chocolate chips.
Roll the dough into small balls and place them on a lined baking sheet. Freeze for about one hour until firm.
Meanwhile, cut the cooled brownies into 1-inch squares. Flatten each brownie piece gently in your hand.
Place a chilled cookie dough ball in the center of a brownie square and carefully wrap the brownie around it, fully enclosing the dough. Return assembled bombs to the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate candy melts or almond bark according to package directions. Dip each chilled brownie bomb into the melted chocolate until fully coated.
Place dipped bombs on a parchment-lined tray and sprinkle extra miniature chocolate chips on top while the coating is still wet.
Allow the chocolate shell to set before serving.
