- 1 lb lean ground beef
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup ketchup
- 1 Tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 Tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
- ½ teaspoon onion powder (or minced onion)
Optional Toppings

- diced onions
- jalapeños
In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef while breaking it into small crumbles. Drain any excess grease.
Transfer the cooked beef to the crockpot and add water, tomato sauce, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, black pepper, and onion powder. Stir to combine.
Cover and cook on LOW for about 2–3 hours, or until the chili is thick and flavorful.
Serve the hot dog chili over cooked hot dogs in buns, and top with shredded cheese, diced onions, or jalapeños if desired.
