- 2 cans crushed pineapple 20 oz each, do not drain
- 1 box yellow cake mix 15.25 oz
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 cup chopped pecans optional
- 1 cup butter melted
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream for serving, optional
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Spread the crushed pineapple with its juice evenly in the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Sprinkle the dry yellow cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
Scatter the chopped pecans over the cake mix (if using).
Sprinkle the brown sugar over the top.
Drizzle the melted butter evenly over everything.
