  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 can Rotel diced tomatoes & green chilies drained
  • 1.5 cups shredded cheddar cheese or Mexican cheese blend

Baking Mix

  • 1.5 cups Bisquick baking mix or similar baking mix

Cooking Instructions

  • Preheat oven: Set oven to 375 °F (190 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine base: In a large bowl, add the uncooked ground sausage and softened cream cheese. Mix thoroughly until mostly combined.
  • Add Rotel: Stir in the drained Rotel tomatoes and green chilies.
  • Incorporate cheese & mix: Fold in shredded cheddar and the baking mix until the mixture comes together and forms a cohesive dough-like texture. Season with garlic or onion powder if using.
  • Form balls: Scoop small portions (about 1–1½ inches) and roll them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet with space between each.
  • Bake: Bake for 18–25 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Serve: Let cool slightly before serving warm as an appetizer, snack, or party bite.
